As you can see, excavation is pretty much completed. The view is toward the West. The pad can now be laid out. |

Before the slab can be "poured" the utilities must be carefully placed. Here you see the craftsmen installing the sewer lines. |

This is a shot of the pipes that will store the hot water for the solar heating system. They will be embedded in the basement slab |

After
the plumbing is completed everything is buried in sand. The sand
is compacted and ready for the concrete slab to be poured over it.

Three concrete trucks and a crew of 7 were utilized for pouring of the concrete slab. This concrete has embedded fibers for added strength. |
