As you can see, excavation is pretty much completed. The view is toward the West. The pad can now be laid out.
This view is looking Eastward from the bottom. There is still quite a bit of rubble to remove before the pad can be laid out.
Before the slab can be "poured" the utilities must be carefully placed. Here you see the craftsmen installing the sewer lines.
Here is a second perspective of the sewer line being laid out.
This is a shot of the pipes that will store the hot water for the solar heating system. They will be embedded in the basement slab
After the plumbing is completed everything is buried in sand. The sand is compacted and ready for the concrete slab to be poured over it.
Three concrete trucks and a crew of 7 were utilized for pouring of the concrete slab. This concrete has embedded fibers for added strength.
Looking North, more or less through the garage door opening, you can see the crew putting the finishing touches on the "slab".
