This
is the electric transformer at the street, next to our driveway. This
was a major expense as the nearest power was nearly a quarter mile
away. The good news is that we will recover much of that cost in the
future when the neighbors around us link up to this box.

Up!
No,
wait a minute! This is NOT a submarine lost in the mountains.
This is a 500 gallon propane tank up near the street.
The
well is 325 feet deep. Here you see the well contractor installing
the pump.
The
septic tank and leach field are located northwest of the house in
a nice patch of forest. Unfortunately, to meet code we had to cut
down about eight Ponderosa Pines. The lumber will be used for various
craft projects, including furniture.
